Purpose amidst Chaos

"The thing has already taken form in my mind before I start it. The first steps are absolutely unbearable. I say this because I want you to know that if you see something worthwhile in what I am doing, it is not by accident but because of real direction and purpose." - Vincent van Gogh

I love this quote. Oftentimes in creating something new, in listening to our intuition, we can struggle with harnessing the creative force that takes us from thought to action. I find it comforting to know that one of the great artistic Masters struggled as we all do - at times the first steps to move creative thoughts to tangible results, really do feel "absolutely unbearable".
Is there something in your life today that feels that way? Consider the following:

  • Take a moment to breathe and check in with your sense of your expanded self - the One that lives beyond limitation and preconceived thinking and ask yourself the following:
  • How has your intuition helped you recently? What have you done to ground that information? (e.g., the action steps to support the intuition)
  • Have you celebrated your intuitive hits and personal growth?
  • We are living in an age of intensity, where our head knowledge is gathering force into experiential knowledge - we are moving, propelled like salmon swimming upstream, called by our instinctual natures to be applying, feeling, being, "knowing in our bones," the experiential truth of our own intuitive process.
  • Real direction and purpose doesn't happen by accident.
  • One of the most powerful tools I have used to rocket launch my own intuition and sense of purpose was to create a Spiritual Mission Statement. As an Intuitive, coming from the Higher Self perspective - the "bigger picture," where unseen dimensions and levels of consciousness intersect, it's been this "bigger picture perspective" that has helped to ground those first few unbearable steps into a sense of real direction and purpose.  No matter how strong, committed or knowlegable we are, we are still growing - it's the quality of our intuitive truth that leads us forward- bringing us back when we wander off, comforting us when we're in pain, and empowering us to embrace our constantly emerging sense of identity.  This is profound, important work, born in the fires of transformation and celebrated in sharing it with others.
